ⓘ Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is an NHS foundation trust, and is responsible for the management of the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, Berkshire, the Prince Charles Eye Unit and the Windsor Dialysis Unit based in Windsor, Berkshire, Bracknell Healthspace, Townlands Hospital in Henley-on-Thames and West Berkshire Community Hospital which is between Newbury and Thatcham.

In 2008 the trust established a subsidiary company, medical management services Ltd, to launch two new medical centers in the city and read. The intention was to achieve benefits on VAT payment, and also pay a savings account, by hiring new staff on less expensive-the NHS contracts. There are exemptions from the payment of VAT as NHS trusts can only claim VAT on a small group of goods and services that they buy. The value added tax act 1994 provides the mechanism through which NHS trusts can apply for compensation for contract services.

The trusts plans to build a preoperative reading assessment unit was approved by reading city Council in March 2015, but councillors complained that the Parking was "mismanaged".
