ⓘ County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust

County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is an NHS Foundation Trust based in North East England. It runs two acute hospitals in University Hospital of North Durham and Darlington Memorial Hospital as well as further non-acute centres at Shotley Bridge Hospital, Sedgefield Community Hospital, Richardson Community Hospital, Weardale Community Hospital, Bishop Auckland Hospital and Chester-le-Street Hospital. The Chief Executive is Sue Jacques. The most recent review of the Trust by the Care Quality Commission in 2015 gave it a "Overall Requires Improvement" rating.

In 2015, the trust created a subsidiary, synchrony care Ltd. The intention was to achieve benefits on VAT payment, and also pay a savings account, by hiring new staff on less expensive-the NHS contracts. There are exemptions from the payment of VAT as NHS trusts can only claim VAT on a small group of goods and services that they buy. The value added tax act 1994 provides the mechanism through which NHS trusts can apply for compensation for contract services.

In 2018 he made a 14-year-old managed a contract with Royal Philips electronics to perform imaging and cardiology services at four sites.
